This one caught my eye while perusing your gallery. It could use some polish, but I especially like the fact that the mechanical aspects seem to incorporate knowledge of actual mining equipment or a knack for architecture/engineering. Flute man is pleased.
This is definitely one of your better ones as of lately. They've all been getting more awesome, but the composition in this one is top notch. It's very well balanced, with most of the interesting features being in the center. The black areas on the bottom sides and near the top add a nice touch of contrast.
Thanks, it's helpful to know what it is that I'm doing right I haven't got any formal training, so when I experiment a little and somebody tells me what about my piece works it helps me make my pieces after it work even better!
That contrast seems to add a lot to my drawings, which means I should buy some sharpies or something. Blacking anything out with a ballpoint BIC pen is not what I'd call optimal hahaha.
